Is not always easy
And when it isn't,
children struggle and parents worry.
children struggle and parents worry.
Does your child have trouble:
- following your instructions and their teacher's?
- missing the rhythm in jokes, poetry or conversation?
- mixing consonants or syllables when speaking?
- finishing tasks at school?
- hearing in a noisy, classroom environment?
- decoding the letters that make up the 44 phonemes of English?
- retelling stories or a series of events in the right order?
- write letters or words without mirror writing?
- pay attention long enough in a classroom setting?
- maintain age appropriate social banter?
Are you concerned about:
- a widening gap between them and their peers?
- how little they seem to remember?
- how they may have passed hearing tests, but still don't seem to hear?
- social exclusion and/or being targeted?
- them disengaging from education altogether?
If your child isn't learning well, you're in the right place.
The last 20 years of neuroscience is bringing hope.
We know how to rewire the brain's neural pathways to build better memory, increase attention span and make the auditory processing and sequencing of the English language more efficient.
Our program is different for a reason. We can increase their capacity to learn!
A bit like exercise builds muscles, only better! The brain's neurons can grow around blockages and form new connections. With repetition and reward, those connections become stronger and learning becomes easier because language is easier. Language forms the basis of reading, learning and critical thinking.
The good news is that the brain can change
New research is proving it and fMRI is measuring it
The results from using it? A brain more capable of learning across all subjects. A brain able to concentrate longer, understand instructions better and work faster. A brain that can retain more complex information. Speech improves, comprehension rises and their confidence grows.
And you can worry less.
Whether they have auditory processing issues, dyslexia, autism, ADD or when they are just not thriving at school.
This international program is the most researched, neuroscience-based learning program and has just celebrated its 20th year. There have been over 400 published reports and school case studies involving more than 100,000 students. On average, gains of one to two years in reading skills in just 8 to 12 weeks are shown.
Harvard and Stanford in the USA have conducted some of these studies, others have been conducted in Australia and New Zealand. It is also referred to in the seminal book The Brain That Changes Itself by Dr Norman Doidge.
THE LEARNING WELL MACARTHUR DIFFERENCE
This program is internet based, so it can be done at home and you don't have to drag the children anywhere!
We coach all our students to develop a growth mindset, thanks to Carol Dweck's amazing work in this field. As we support our students through the auditory processing program, we help them to develop a healthier attitude toward learning and life challenges, to get them out of their comfort zone and persevere long enough to feel the benefits for the effort they're putting in. All enrolments into any of our programs will receive a workbook with over 60 colourful pages of growth mindset hacks to help you and your family grow from life's challenges and become fearless learners.
Here's a sneak peak at all the programs we offer:
